The people at 회사이름 have honestly been one of the best parts of working here. I loved my job and I thought that I would continue to work here, but life sometimes take you in other directions and you see new and exciting challenges elsewhere.

미국 오버드래프트 은행 수수료

지난 금요일에 세금 $2,000 추가로 낼 것이 있어서 첵을 써서 우편으로 보내고, 첵을 쓴 은행 A 잔고를 확인해보니 조금 간당간당해보여, 은행B에서 은행A로 $1,000을 트렌스퍼 했습니다. 그런데 은행 A잔고를 금일 확인해보니 은행A에서 첵이 클리어되는 것과 동시에 은행B에서 트렌서퍼한 금앨이 같이 포스팅이 되었더군요. 여기까지는 괜찮은데 은행 A 첵이 클리어되면서 오버드래프트 은행 수수료 $36.00이 붙은 게 아니겠습니까..

뭔가 은행으로 부터 사기당한 느낌? 아시나요? 만약에 은행에서 $1,000 트렌스퍼한 것을 먼저 포스팅하고 첵을 클리어 했으면 아무 문제가 없었는데, 첵을 먼저 클리어하고 $1,000을 포스팅한 게 뭔가 찜찜하더라고요.

그래서 은행에 당당하게 전화를 걸어서 오버드래프트 은행 수수료를 면제 (Waived) 받았습니다.

다들 이런 경험 한번씩 있지 않나요?

혹시 모르시는 분들이 있을까 해서 글을 한번 써보게 되었습니다.

우선 수수료 면제를 받으려면 최대한 예의 바르게 전화를 걸어야 합니다.

전화해서 짜증을 내고 화난 투로 말하면 전화받는 사람입장에서 면제해줄 수 있어도 해주기가 싫지요..ㅋㅋ

정확히 뭐라고 말해야하는지 그럼 제가 알려드리도록 하겠습니다.

1. 전화를 걸어서 이렇게 말합니다

"Hello, I just saw this bank charge for overdrafting on my account and I'd like to have it waived"

2. 그러면 은행직원이 아래와 같은 식으로 말을 할겁니다..

"I see that overdraft fee on your account but we're not able to waive that fee." 그러면서 이런저런 이유를 말하죠.

3. 그러면 이렇게 다시 말합니다.

"Well, I've been a good customer with your bank for many years now and would still like to get it waived since this is a rare occurrence. What else can you do to help me? 물론 이렇게 말할때 짜증 썩인 말투로 말하지는 말고 도움이 필요하듯 그러나 정정당당하게 묻는듯한 투로 말을 합니다..

4. 그러면 보통 은행직원이

"hmmm.. one second please. I see that you're a really good customer. I am going to check with my manager. Could you hold for a second"? 이렇게 대답을 할텐데 이러면 보통 면제 99%되었다고 보면 됩니다.. ㅋㅋ

물론 이 방식으로 안통하는 경우도 있지요. 예를 들어 오버드래프트를 밥먹듣이 하시는 분이라던가 그러면 면제 불가능합니다.

안녕하세요

미국에 불체로 산지 7년째구요 곧 8년됨....

1년 연애 결혼하고 1년 살았는데 영주권 아직없고

남편이랑 성격차이등 합의 이혼을 하고

한국으로 돌아갈려고합니다.

주위에서는 포기말고 영주권 받을수있다고하는데

미국생활도 지치고 ...

제가 여기 살면서 모은 돈이 8만불정도 되는데

은행에있는게아니라 캐시로 들고있어요

한국에 갈때 어떻게 가져갈수있을까요?

신고를 해야된다는 말도있던데 해야된다면

1. 어디서 어떻게하는것이며

2.세금도 내야하는건가요??

3.돈의 출처를 묻나요? 서류나 뭐 준비해야될거라던지...(불체라 세금보고한적도없고 ㅠㅠ 이래저래 모은돈인데 출처를 어떻게 밝히나해서요

4.개인이 들고 나갈수 있는 소지금 한도같은게 있나요??

마지막으로 불체자라서 나갈때 미국 공항이든 한국 공항에서든 일단잡히나요?? (예를들어 따로 사무실이나 이런데로 간다거나 왜냐면 불체자는 경우에따라 3or10년동안 재입국이 안되자나요 그럼 여권에 무슨 도장찍고? 지문인가? 도장같은거 찍고 나온다는 말을 들어서요 ....

미국에 거주하고 있는데 집을 구매해야할지 아니면 그냥 렌트를 해야할지 고민이시라고요? 네.. 누구나 다 겪고 고민하는 일인데요 정말 어떤게 올바른 선택인지 가름하기 힘든게 사실입니다. 그런데 이번에 뉴욕타임즈에서 Is it Better to Rent or Buy라는 포스팅이 올라왔네요. 자신에 알맞는 집값, 거주기간, 모기지 율, 다운페이먼트 등을 마우스로 옮겨서 조절하면 집을 사는 것이 나은지 아니면 렌트하는 게 나은지 계산해줍니다.

I understand your concerns and frustrations. In fact, I spoke with our product team again this morning. The staff told me that she will re-raise this issue at their product team meeting to attempt to escalate again, but due to the workload already scheduled for January, she thinks that this will be a long shot that it makes it to January.

염려와 불만을 이해합니다. 안그래도 금일 아침 해당건과 관련하여 프러덕팀과 통화를 했습니다. 프러덕 미팅 때 해당 사항을 다시 상기시키고 우선 순위를 높일 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다고 합니다만 이미 1월달로 스케줄된 업무량이 너무 많아서 1월달 안에 문제를 해결하기란 아무래도 힘들 것 같다고 합니다.

직장생활을 하다보면 이메일 문의를 많이 받는다. 문의 받은 것에 대한 마침표를 찍는 답이 없다면 현재 진행 상황을 알리고 "추가 사항이 있으면 연락드리겠습니다" , "더 진전된 사항이 있으면 연락드리겠습니다" , 또는 "새로운 사항이 있으면 알려드리도록 하겠습니다" 등의 표현을 많이 쓴다. 그럼 이것을 영어로는 어떻게 표현해야하는지 알아보자.

자고 일어나면 머리가 떡져있는 경험 다들하셨을 것이라 생각됩니다.

특히 늦잠을 자는 바람에 회사에 출근을 해야하는데 머리가 떡져있어서

당황하신 분들 많으시지요?

머리가 떡지는 이유는 다들 아시듣이 머리를 안감아서가 첫번째 원인 일 수 있고요

머리를 자주 감는다고 자부하지만 쉽게 떡이 지는 사람은 지성두피 때문이라고 합니다.

머리에 피지 분비량이 많은 사람 그리고 머리 숱이 별로 없는 사람일수록 머리 떡이 많이

진다고 합니다.

그럼 떡진 머리를 일시적으로 빨리 해결하는 방법은 무엇이 있을까요?

1. 베이비 파우더 이용

보통 앞머리 부분에 떡이 많이 지게되는데 늦잠을 자서 머리 감을 시간이 없다면

파우더를 이용해서 앞머리 부분에 살짝 묻힌다음 머리를 털어주면 기름기가 제거

되어서 떡진 머리가 좀 괜찮아 보이게 됩니다. 머리가 긴 여자분들의 경우에는

포니테일 스타일로 묶어주면 머리가 더 자연스럽게 보인다고 합니다.

2. 드라이 샴푸 이용

드라이 샴푸를 사용하면 파우더 바르는 것과 비슷한 효과를 낼 수 있습니다.

파우더의 경우에는 냄새는 잡아주지 못하는 반면에 드라이 샴푸는 떡진 머리

해결 및 냄새까지 잡아주는 효과가 있습니다.

그렇다면 어떻게 해야지 떡지는 머리를 방지할 수 있을까 궁금하시죠?

1. 샴푸를 바꿔라

머리가 자주 떡지는 분들은 샴푸 때문일 수가 있다고 합니다.

특별히 지성두피이신 분들은 머리 감고 얼마안있으면 기름이
